Additional Information

The operational standards, service boundaries, privacy guidance, and program details that apply across GCCS services.

01

Non-clinical service scope

Gulf Coast Connection Services (GCCS) provides non-clinical communication and everyday technology support. GCCS does not provide medical care, nursing care, clinical advice, emergency services, or medical-device management. Public forms are limited to the minimum scheduling, authorization, and service-coordination information requested. Resident-identifiable coordination information may constitute Protected Health Information when GCCS handles it for a covered entity; when applicable, that information may be handled only under the parties’ written agreement and a Business Associate Agreement when required.

GCCS coordinates communication, everyday technology use, digital engagement, and practical equipment support. Emergency needs, clinical questions, personal care, transfers, medication assistance, medical-device management, and continuous supervision remain with the appropriate facility team, caregiver, healthcare professional, or emergency service.

02

Equipment, accessibility, and cleaning standards

Equipment setup is selected around each resident’s physical abilities, comfortable positioning, communication needs, and approved service location. Adaptable options may include mobile large-format displays, managed tablets, hands-free stands, amplified audio, protective cases, and simplified high-contrast interfaces.

Cleaning and disinfection between resident uses is standard for every GCCS client and service setting. GCCS follows product- and manufacturer-compatible procedures for its equipment and accessories.

GCCS equipment is consumer communication technology—not a medical device, patient-monitoring system, nurse-call system, or emergency-response service. It is not used to diagnose, monitor, prevent, or treat a medical condition.

03

Technology and connectivity

GCCS services may depend on third-party hardware, software, electrical power, carrier coverage, cellular signal, network congestion, facility Wi-Fi, internet service, and platform availability. GCCS uses commercially reasonable efforts to prepare, troubleshoot, restore, or substitute available service. If a material interruption prevents a paid session, GCCS will reschedule the affected session or provide an appropriate service credit. Nothing in this notice limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.

Dedicated cellular connectivity may be used when facility Wi-Fi is unavailable or unsuitable. The selected equipment, connection method, service location, and any practical adaptations are coordinated for the individual resident and setting.

04

Privacy and public-request information

Minimum necessary information only. Do not enter or upload medical records, diagnoses, treatment details, medications, medical-record numbers, insurance records or cards, Social Security numbers, government identification images, clinical notes, portal credentials, passwords, verification codes, payment-card information, or other unnecessary sensitive information. If a participating facility must transmit additional protected information, use only the facility-approved secure channel established in the parties’ written agreement.

Public booking forms create requests, not confirmed appointments. Save the confirmation reference shown after submission and use Check Request Status for the latest non-clinical scheduling update. A confirmation from GCCS controls if it differs from an older browser view.

06

Program reporting context

GCCS may provide practical program visibility such as participation, completed connections, schedule observations, and aggregate service-hour information. For skilled nursing partners, this information may support internal quality discussions, but it does not replace clinical documentation, medical records, regulatory reporting, or a facility’s own CMS responsibilities.

07

Student Volunteer & Ambassador Program

Participation is subject to application review, age requirements, background or conduct screening, GCCS orientation, facility approval, supervision requirements, program availability, and any school requirements. Volunteers remain non-clinical and do not provide medical, nursing, direct personal care, transfer, medication, or unsupervised clinical services.

GCCS may verify hours completed under its supervision. A school, facility, or educational program determines whether those hours qualify for community service, academic credit, an internship, or another requirement. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, placement, a particular schedule, or credit.

Applicants review these boundaries during the application. Applicants under 18 also require a linked parent or legal guardian electronic permission record before onboarding.

08

Community support and sponsorship

Gulf Coast Connection Services LLC is a registered local business delivering community-sponsored service hours and adaptive equipment to care facilities. GCCS is a for-profit entity. Community Support and Community Sponsorship payments are non-charitable and are not represented by GCCS as tax-deductible donations.

Community Support is a flexible payment that helps fund service hours and equipment. Community Sponsorship is a separate arrangement that may include a defined level, recurring billing, and agreed business recognition. Business sponsors should consult their own tax professional about whether an expense may qualify as marketing or advertising.
